Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

This policy covers all Flat Cargo services: the mobile application, the hub.flatcargo.com platform and the flatcargo.com website.

Who processes your data

The Flat Cargo services are published by:

What the mobile application uses, and why

Your login credentials

They are used solely to authenticate you against the management server. If you tick "Remember me", they are kept in the phone's secure storage, protected by the Android system. They are never transmitted to anyone other than that server.

Your business data

Orders, quotations, invoices, stock, contacts, transport documents: this is the very purpose of the application. They live on the company's server; the application only displays and edits them.

Your precise location

Used only in the "Marketplace" mode, to show listings on a map and filter them by distance. It is read only while the application is open and on screen: never in the background, never as movement tracking, never kept as history.

The camera and your photos

Only when you choose to attach an image to a listing or a document. The application does not access your gallery without that action, and browses no other image.

The Hub and the website

The hub.flatcargo.com platform hosts your account and your business exchanges: registration, orders, quotations, invoices, price requests. The data there is the same as the data shown by the application, because it is the same system. A session cookie, required for it to work, keeps you signed in; it disappears when you sign out.

The flatcargo.com website is the public showcase. It uses audience measurement tools that place cookies allowing visits to be counted and analysed. Those tools belong to the website only: the mobile application contains none.

What the mobile application does not do

No advertising. No advertising tracking, no advertising identifier, no profiling, no behavioural analytics. No sale or transfer of data to third parties.

Third-party services

OpenStreetMap provides the map background of the Marketplace mode. Displaying a map sends its servers your IP address and the area being viewed, which is how any online map works. No account data is sent to them.

Google Maps is only involved if you ask for directions to an address: the application then hands over to Google Maps or to your browser, and your exchanges with them fall under their own terms.

Where the data goes

To the company's management server. Exchanges between the application and that server are encrypted.

Business data is kept for as long as the applicable accounting and commercial obligations require. Your location and your photos are kept only for the time needed by the use you intended them for.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its rectification, its erasure, the restriction of its processing, or object to that processing. You may also withdraw the location and camera permissions at any time in the Android settings: the application keeps working, only the features concerned become unavailable.

To exercise these rights, write to the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

Deleting your account

Accounts are created and deleted by the company. To request the deletion of your account and the associated data, write to the address above.

Changes

Any substantial change to this policy will be published on this page, with a new update date.
